Catyleen produces and sells abrasive granules extracted from corn cob.

Corn cob granules are the safest sifting material, as it does not create toxic substances, unlike other types on the market.

The dust produced during the sifting process is not harmful to the environment and does not cause health problems, therefore it can be reused by placing it on the ground, and above all, these materials are indispensable as its absence leads to unavoidable damages (such as the impact on wood due to inactive silica grains).

The most common machines in sifting process are fully adaptable to this product. In addition, the operator will be safe because inactive silica granules (main component in silicon) are not present in our products.

Types of use: finishing in the sifting process

Finishing and vibration using abrasive granules is one of the conditions that define the procedure for the mechanical removal of major residues in the manufacturing process such as sealing and melting of crushed materials (particularly suitable for providing surface finishing to a large number of pieces).

This procedure is carried out either by a machine in the basin or the drum. The abrasive granules combined with chemical products will provide the ideal cleaning in polishing and coating of the manufactured materials.

Catyleen produces and sells of yellow corn granules (maize), we have many suitable procedures for every type in sifting of yellow corn granules.

The difference between corn cob and other abrasive materials is that the corn cubes are completely natural, biodegradable and do not pose a risk to the operator's health. Corn cubes are specially used for a smooth vibratory finish, without scratching or damaging the manufactured surfaces.

Besides Yellow Corn granules, we also offer another product: walnut shells granulate, available with the same measures, which we use in Corn Cob and are suitable for surfaces that need a higher abrasive treatment.

• To clean the Billboard and the rays resulting from the remaining of plasters.
• To remove panels and varnishes.
• To remove paint deposited on wood over the years.
• To smooth and highlight grain evenly on new wood plank.
• Stripping and cleaning the exterior parts, wood panels and fiberglass.
• It can be used for sensitive metals such as aluminum.

Tools

Normal Sandblast Machines can be used with a compressor with a capacity of 3500/4000 liters per minute, capable of providing continuous pressure up to 7atms. The nozzle diameter ranges from 4 mm to 9 mm. The exit air pressure ranges from 5 to 7 meters.

Used Granules Measurement

Normally, Granular measurement of the products ranges from 0.4 to 0.7 mm, classified as COB30. For a sandblast machine providing outdated effect of scratches or for hardwood, the type used is the COB20 which has a measure ranging between 0.7 to1mm. For particular refining works it is common to use the type COB80 whose granulate dimensions range from 0.2 to 0.5mm.

Consumption

The required sifting can be achieved clearly and smoothly, as a result, the product depends on what kind of results the customer wants to obtain.

Only 20 kg of our product could use to clean a surface area ranging from 5 to 10 square meters, and it varies according to the amount of dirt to be removed.

The volume of consumption in a 6 mm nozzle is approximately 160 kg per hour, while the consumption volume in a 9 mm nozzle at a pressure ranging from 6 to 7 minutes is about 300 kg per hour.You need 4 kg to clean 1 M² of polished wood.
